Grading System & Honor Roll
The Pre- School Department does not follow a numerical grading system. A hallmarks and milestones are set by the teacher based on the child’s individual learning needs. Special awards are given at the end of the school year.
The Elementary Department (Grade 1-6) has quarterly assessment of individual students based on their class performance and quarterly examinations. The passing grade in any learning area shall be at least seventy-five (75%) percent, while the lowest grade that can be given to a student after the transmutation of performance shall be seventy (70%) percent. Academic awards are given based on the following criteria:
1. Computation is based on general average.
2. No grade less than 83% in any subject area (major or minor).
* Note: For the Chrysalis Academic Excellence Award no grade less than 85%
3. Character is included in the computation of the general average.
- 85-87% Bronze Chrysalis Award
- 88-91% Silver Chrysalis Award
- 92-100% Gold Chrysalis Award
The Secondary/High School Department (I-IV). There shall be four grading periods using the averaging method. This means that the quarterly grades added and divided into four to get the final rating.

The grading system for all the core subjects: Filipino, English, Science, Mathematics, and Makabayan shall follow the suggested system of rating in the Operations Handbook. Whereas, the grading system for the electives will not be included in the computation: however, it will be reported as a specialized subject in the student’s learning performance card. The K12 Curriculum: Elementary(Grade 1-6) and Secondary-Junior High School(Grade 7-10). Based on Dep Ed Order No. 73, s. 2012, assessment shall be holistic, with emphasis on the formative or developmental purpose of quality assuring student learning. The attainment of learning outcomes shall be the basis for the quality assurance of learning using formative and summative assessments and be the basis for grading at the end of instruction. The learning outcomes are defined by level: Knowledge, Process or Skill; Understanding; Products and Performance. These levels shall be the outcomes reflected in the record with the corresponding percentage weight.
The level of performance of students shall be described in the report card based on the following levels of proficiency with the equivalent numerical value: Beginning –B (74% and below), Developing – D (75-79%), Approaching Proficiency - AP (80-84%), Proficient - P (85-89%), and Advanced – A (90% and above).
